Hydrotalcite

Overview

Hydrotalcite is a layered double hydroxide (LDH) with a structure that contains carbonate ions (CO3-2) and crystalline water between plate-like layers of magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide. Composed of magnesium, aluminum, hydroxides, and carbonic acid, it is non-toxic and eco-friendly, and can be used with other additives in many types of resins to improve properties and stability.
